HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA

Data Handling, Cookies and Account Security

j00 applies layered security controls across every part of your account — from the moment you deposit via UPI to the moment a withdrawal clears.

Encrypted Data Storage

All personal data — your name, contact details, and payment references from UPI, Paytm or PhonePe — is stored using AES-256 encryption at rest. Access requires multi-factor authentication from our internal security team.

Cookie Controls

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. You can adjust cookie preferences from the settings panel in your account at any time, and non-essential cookies will be switched off immediately.

Data Retention Periods

We keep transactional records for the period required by applicable financial regulations in India. Account data is deleted within 90 days of a confirmed account closure request, except where law requires us to retain it longer.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We share data only with payment processors handling your UPI, Paytm or PhonePe transactions, and with service providers bound by confidentiality agreements. We never sell your personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Account Security Practices

Two-step verification is available on your account and we recommend keeping it active. Suspicious login attempts trigger an automatic alert to the email address registered with us, giving you immediate visibility of any unauthorised access.

Requesting Changes to Your Data

You can request a copy of all data we hold on you, ask us to correct inaccurate records, or submit a deletion request via email or live chat. We will confirm receipt and provide a resolution timeline based on the nature of your request.

Frequently Asked Privacy Questions

These are the questions we receive most often about how j00 collects and manages personal data. If your question is not answered here, contact our privacy team directly through email or live chat.

We collect your full name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth during account creation. Once you make a deposit, we also record the payment method reference — such as your UPI ID or Paytm number — to process transactions and verify your identity.

No. We share data only with payment partners like UPI, Paytm and PhonePe processors, and with technology providers who support our platform under strict confidentiality terms. We do not sell or rent personal data to marketing companies or unrelated businesses.

Account data is deleted within 90 days of a confirmed closure request. Transaction records tied to your payment history may be retained longer where Indian financial regulations require it. We will tell you the specific retention period when you request account deletion.

Yes. Submit a data access request via email or live chat and we will compile a full copy of the personal data we hold on you. We aim to deliver this within 30 days. There is no fee for a standard access request submitted once per calendar year.

Contact our privacy team through live chat or the support email address. Provide your registered email and describe what needs correcting or deleting. We will verify your identity first, then carry out the change and confirm it in writing once complete.

We use strictly necessary cookies to run your session and optional analytics cookies to see which parts of the lobby are most used. You can turn off non-essential cookies from the cookie preference panel inside your account settings — changes take effect straight away.

Payment identifiers are encrypted using AES-256 and are never stored in plain text. We do not retain your full UPI PIN or Paytm wallet password — only the transaction reference needed to reconcile your deposit or withdrawal record with our accounts system.
